Music by Jack Lipson

Book and Lyrics by Jessica Wu

Presented at the Kaufman Center's Merkin Hall by Theatre Now New York as part of the Soundbites XI Festival

May I Be Frank? satirizes the dubious auditions that actors—especially those historically underrepresented—endure in the business of show.

This farcical two-hander was created in the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop by LA-native composer-lyricist, arranger-orchestrator and songster JACK LIPSON (Music) and JESSICA WU (Book & Lyrics) an award-winning playwright, director, songwriter, dramaturg and Broadway dancer in a past-life.

The musical was inspired by screenwriter-playwright-educator Adi Eshman's short film ANNE, winner of 5 audience choice awards at more than 30 festivals throughout North America.
