Book, Music & Lyrics by Jessica Wu

Welcome to the world of You, Me, I, We.
Three characters “You”, “Me” and “I” are the disembodied voices in Yu-Mei’s mind—they represent her inner monologue, her own voice in memory, and the voices of the handful of people she loves and loathes.

In the same theatrical playing space, this all intersects with a dance-play that represents her physical world. Think Hedwig and the Angry Inch, meets Pixar’s Inside Out, wrapped in Twyla Tharp Dance Theatre, all told through a first-generation Chinese-American lens with an Indie-pop score.

“You, Me, I, We” is a non-linear exploration of grief and redemption that invites the audience to actively listen to the voices inside their own heads.
